What does it take to scale a new brand in the complex, competitive world of payments processing? A bold idea designed to bring creative magic to every touchpoint.  Thredd, previously GPS, had undertaken a rebrand to reposition itself as the true payments processing partner of ambitious fintechs, banks and corporates. But, to cut through the jargon and noise in the highly competitive payments space, it needed a new, differentiating brand idea – one that could work hard end-to-end. 

It pays to be different

Rather than parroting the usual paytech innovation story, we created a platform that was distinctively Thredd. Weaving Payments Magic is an idea designed to simplify the complexity of the category and make the transactional feel transformational. The platform reveals what true partnership feels like in a way that celebrates the power of payments: instant, effortless and seamless. As well as being a differentiating brand idea, Weaving Payments Magic was conceived to connect the dots internally and work hard to drive demand gen activities. 

Thredding everything together 

Weaving Payments Magic has become the North Star for the brand ATL to ABM. A stop-motion social campaign was created to showcase Thredd’s payments processing USPs through the medium of balloon animals, virtual card tricks and levitating plates of food. It turned heads of decision-makers in-feeds - but also on the ground at events like Money 2020. The platform has shaped product and service messaging across Thredd’s award-winning web experience, defined an approach to thought leadership, and is now set to drive a one-to-few ABM pilot.
